I’m in the process of building a library of bump maps to, hopefully, put on “Blender market.” I realized there’s more than one way I could create a bump map. I could create the very minimum scale possible such as this fish scale bump map: or I could scale it up to twice: or three times etc. is there any reason I shouldn’t just go with the minimum scale at multiple resolutions?
