The Memphis Tigers football team represents the University of Memphis located in Memphis, Tennessee. Prior to July 1, 1994, the school was known as Memphis State University. The Tigers are a member of the FBS American Athletic Conference, which they joined in 2014. From 1995 to 2013, Memphis was a member of Conference USA.
