Strike up the band! | Local singer-songwriter Jared Adams is set to release his sophomore record, Mystic Humanism, on Friday, March 15. The record, which has been in the works for some time now, is a culmination of years of work and musical exploration for the Crescentwood resident. | “It was a lot of work, but a lot of fun,” said Adams, 36. The record was recorded at Private Ear Recording by John Paul Peters in the fall of 2022. “A couple of the guys who play in my solo band played in our band in high school. We’ve been playing together for 15, 20 years. They’ve added more to the songs than I initially envisioned.” | Along with contributions from his four-piece band, the new record also includes performances by the horn section from Apollo Suns; violinist Eric Ross from Yes We Mystic; and Christy Taronno from Paper Machetes.
