We shibori dyed this superwash 2-ply bulky yarn, creating bands of white on indigo blue. In a knitting project, the white accents show up as fun speckles throughout. The extra-fine merino is so soft it feels like cashmere against the skin. Hand-dyed by an independent small business in the Pacific Northwest.
Shibori is a Japanese resist dyeing technique that has been practiced for thousands of years and inspired this yarn.
The bands of white on the deep inky blue knits or crochets up as distributed white dots throughout a project, leading to what we think is a very cool effect.
Perfectly bulky, one hank will make a fast hat, cowl, or pair of fingerless gloves.
