Unusual artillery shell made during World War I. Known as Trench Art, the practice flourished particularly during World War I, & describes decorative items made by soldiers, prisoners of war, or civilians, during armed conflict. This one is made from a 75 DE C artillery shell. It can be used as a vase, but has got an ornamented lid, too.
