This Balinese style Durga statue has many unique features that set it apart from other Durga statues. Durga is standing atop a buffalo. Most likely the buffalo demon, Mahishasura whom she slayed when no other god was able. She holds the tail of the buffalo in her hand along with a bow, discus, axe, elephant goad, a noose, and a trident. Durga is wearing a beautiful crown, earrings, and has a halo surrounding her head.
