This is such a gorgeous set of ceramic shoes, so very appealing to all art lovers.They are a life-size pair of ballet shoes, standing on tip toe,as if actually worn and already dancing.The heels and arches of the feet are all bent in a lovely ballet motion, so very typical of ballerinas.Their colour is a typical white, made with a rich, milky white glaze, covering the shoes, save for the heels, where the natural clay colour appears and the shoes look like they have been worn.The glaze might appear cracked at some parts, depending on the specific pair, or glaze quantity, or where the shoes were placed in the kiln, while firing, or for many other reasons.
This also means that the glaze is actually a craquelle glaze.
